Preventive MaintenaceMaintenance:
- Belts should be scraped after every shift to ensure that the belts are not Burning.
- Only plastic bun toaster scrapers should be used to clean belts. These should be located in the door on the side of the bun toaster.
- Belts should be replaced when they become torn or worn out.
- Large belt should last 4-6 weeks
- Medium belt should last 4-6 months
- Small belts can last up to 1 year
Trouble shooting:
If toaster will not operate-
- Is it plugged in? - Before you assume it is, Check to see if it is plugged in, ensure that the plus plug is all the way in the outlet making a good connection.
- Has a breaker tripped? - Check to make sure the breaker has not been tripped,
- This the breaker is located at the front of the MUT table. Reset if necessary.
- Are the belts moving? - If the belts will are not rotateing, then remove belts and clean the tracks that the rivets slide into.
- - Does the display screen show (r-HL)? If so, this means that the high limit switch has been tripped. On the back of the bun toaster there are two black knobs. Untwist the knobs and push back in the high limit reset buttons.
If the buns are not toasting properly:
- - By pressing the lighter and darker button, you can adjust the toaster to the desired doneness.
- - If you are getting white streaks on the buns, first ensure that the bun feeder legs are straight.
- -Finally, check the belts to make sure that there are not any areas of the belts that have a lot of buildup.
Buns are getting stuck in the toaster:
- - First, turn off the machine and open the door to make sure that there is not any bread stuck in the machine.
- - Second, make sure that the belts are not torn and are in good shape.
